Obituary for Alec McCracken
Alec Brian McCracken, 36, of Woodland, passed peacefully at his parents home, on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 surrounded by his family.
He was born on August 22, 1984 in Clearfield, a son of David A. and Lynda (Reed) McCracken of Clearfield.
Alec loved helping others by organizing music benefits for individuals and organizations. He also volunteered with the Clearfield County Cancer Support, Inc., Living Bread Ministries and the Special Olympics of Clearfield County. He was also involved with the Clearfield Skate Park.
Alec loved playing music (bass guitar) with the bands Not Ashamed, This End Up, and Deadside, as well as many others. He also enjoyed just jamming with his friends. Alec also had a loved for everything outdoors, including hunting, fishing and kayaking. Prior to his illness, he worked at Impact Ink, Woodland.
He is survived by his parents, David A. and Lynda R. (Reed) McCracken; sister, Dawn M. McCracken; ex-wife, Crystal English; children, Andrew and Alan McCracken; special buddies, Cyrus and Vern English; and many relatives and friends.
Alec was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ardell M. and Winona (Mitchell) McCracken, and John E. and Rebecca (Henry) Reed.
A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2021.
