Alfred Benedict (Amatuzio) Maddas

Alfred Benedict (Amatuzio) Maddas, WWII Veteran, 100, of East Norriton, formerly of Altoona, PA, passed peacefully at home into the love and light of God, Wednesday, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Francesco Amatuzio and Elvira Patullo of Bojano, Molise, Italy. Nov. 27, 1947, he married Angela (Berardi) Maddas at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood, PA.

Surviving are his children Judy, Jessica (Rick), Alfred(Chris), Joan, James(Joyce), Angela(Braxton), and Joyce. 12 Grandchildren, 7 great-Greatgrandchildren, and two sisters.

He is preceded in death by his wife Angela (Berardi) Maddas; infant son and daughter Joseph and Jennifer, a sister and 3 brothers.

Alfred owned and operated Valley View Body Shop for over 35 years with his spouse.
He was a former member of the Cathedral of The Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Altoona, PA.

WWII Army Veteran, Alfred served his country in the 86th Infantry in Europe, and CCC Camp in the USA.
Alfred will be remembered and cherished for his great love for his family, and wonderful story-telling. He loved spending time with his little dogs Honey and Ginger. He enjoyed woodworking craftsmanship, art, and his vast music collection.

A Private Celebration of Alfred’s Life and Catholic Mass is being planned.
