Angela Martha Maddas, 94, of Aaronsburg, formerly of Altoona, PA passed into the love and light of God, on Wednesday July 3, 2019. She was surrounded by her loving family and passed peacefully at home.

Angela was born on February 4, 1925 in Bellwood, PA, daughter of the late Bernardino Berardi and Cleonice Di Christofaro of Acquaviva d'Isernia Molise, Italy.

She was a graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School.

She married Alfred Benedict Maddas, a WWII Veteran on November 27, 1947 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood, PA. She was a former member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Altoona.

She was co-owner and secretary of Valley View Body Shop of Altoona for 25 years with her spouse.

Angela will be loved and cherished for her lively spirit and beautiful and generous heart. She had a passion for cooking with love for her family, tending to her flower garden and was an avid reader.

She is the last of her immediate family. Preceded in death are 16 brothers and sisters, and an infant son and daughter Joseph Paul, and Jennifer Lee.

She is survived by loving husband Alfred Benedict and 7 children, Judy Lynn, Jessica May(Rick) Alfred Alan(Chris) Joan Marie, James Michael(Joyce) Angela Joy(Braxton),(former spouse Christopher) Joyce Maureen, 12 Grandchildren: Alfred, Krista, Beth, Angela, Jennifer, Matthew, Anthony, DeAnna, Jonathan, Andrew, Amanda, Richie, and 6 Great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial donations may be made to Angela's favorite charity, St Jude Children's Hospital. A special thank you to Grane Hospice Care.

Arrangements are being made by PA Simple Cremation, Clearfield.

A private celebration of Angela's life and Catholic Mass is being planned.
