Obituary for Dana Yatta
Dana Andrew Yatta, 49, of Flinton, and formerly of Curwensville, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh after a brief illness.
Born October 16, 1967 in Clearfield, he was the son of the late Dennis Yatta and Carol (Wilkinson) Eckley of Flinton.
On February 22, 1992, Dana married the former Tammie M. Romine who survives. He is also survived by his daughter Nichole Marie Yatta of State College, and sister Teresa Ann Yatta Sisk of Texas.
Dana grew up in Curwensville and was a member of the graduating class of 1987. He went on to proudly serve his country for 12 years in the Naval Branch of the Armed Forces. He later used the skills he had learned and became employed for more than ten years as a government contractor teaching others how to operate UAVâs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) overseas.
He is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins, and was preceded in death by his father, his stepfather, James Eckley and grandparents; Frank and Virginia Wilkinson, and Walter and Bertha Yatta.
A memorial service for Dana will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Curwensville Presbyterian Church with Gary Jewart officiating.
Family and friends will be received from 9:30 until the time of service at 10:30.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to PA Simple Cremation, 113 N. Third St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
