of Clearfield died on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
He was born on June 30, 1938 in Ashland, a son of the late Francis Mark and Mary Louise (Sofranek) Shimko.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Rae (Bremigen) Shimko; son, William F. Shimko, Esq. and spouse Katherine Bridget (Toher) of Pittsburgh and three children; son, Rev. David J. Shimko of Clearfield; brother, John Richard Shimko and spouse Jane Shimko of Elysburg; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Rev. Jack J. Bremigen and Rev. Lois (Levin) Bremigen of Clearfield; Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law, Ruth E. (Bremigen) Hill and Rev. Larry C. Hill of Springfield, MO; Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law, Joyce A. (Bremigen) Wisor and Kevin S. Wisor, Sr. of Clearfield.
A memorial service will be held at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Clearfield on Thursday at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the church on Thursday from 9 â 11 AM.
