Obituary for Gerald Farwell
Gerald Neil Farwell, 68, of Grampian passed away on April 16, 2023 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh from vascular complications.
Gerald was born September 20, 1954 in Clearfield, PA, the fifth child of Lee D. and Julia Quillman Farwell.
He was a 1972 graduate of Curwensville Area High School where he completed Vo Tech's Auto Body Repair Course. He was a known source of knowledge about Chevrolet engines and vehicles which he worked on most of his life. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and usually always kept one in his inventory of vehicles. He loved his dogs which were his trusty companions along life's way.
Gerald, also known as Gerry, was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother Donald.
He is survived by three brothers: Joel (Young Soon), Earle (Nancy) and Martin (Robin). Also surviving are three sisters: Julie, Norma (Dallas) Butler and Lisa (Forrest) Henry; four nephews: David Farwell, Joshua Butler, Ethan Henry and Timothy Henry; a niece LeeAnn Kim; and a great niece Rachael Henry.
Honoring Gerald's wishes, there will be no funeral service. His family plans a gathering in his memory at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to any of Gerald's three favorite charities: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Mercy Ships, or SPCA.
