John "JT" R Thorwart, age 69, of 203 Adam's Ave Ridgway, died unexpectedly Thursday evening, November 18th, at his home. He was born August 21st 1952 in Ridgway, son of the late Norbert "Jack" J. Jr. and Peggy J (Brownlee) Thorwart. He resided in Ridgway all his life. John enjoyed playing pool and spending time with family & friends. He was a graduate of Ridgway High School class of 1970. He had previously been employed as a die setter in the powdered metal industry.

He is survived by his daughter Kristen M. (Zachary) Magnusson of Ridgway, granddaughter Mara J. Magnusson of Ridgway, sister Jane E. (Ed) Flannigan of Mercer PA, and 3 nieces and 2 nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jill M. Steis, brother James A. Thorwart, and 1 nephew.

Burial will be at the Thayer Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Elk County Humane Society in Saint Mary's, PA.
