Obituary for Lillian Tressler

Lillian Housel Tressler February 21, 1926 November 11, 2016 Lillian Housel Tressler, 90, of Bellefonte, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Centre Crest in Bellefonte.
Lillian was the daughter of the late Guy Housel and Marie Housel Kellerman, both of Bellefonte. Lillian graduated from Bellefonte High School in 1943. She played and traveled with the Bellefonte Banjo Band.
On September 28, 1946, Lillian married Robert K. Tressler, who preceded her in death on June 30, 1991. She worked as a secretary/receptionist for Dr. Hugh Rogers in Bellefonte. Lillian was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte, a lifetime member of both the Bellefonte Elks, and the Nittany Country Club. Lillian enjoyed traveling, ceramics, sewing, golfing, and reading.
Lillian is survived by her two children, Marcia E. Tressler Holsinger, of State College, and Gregory G. Tressler and his wife Mary Lynn, of Bellefonte. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Steven R. Holsinger and his wife Niki, of Dover, Del., Timothy R. Holsinger, of Bellefonte, Breonna L. Tressler and her husband Art Emel, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Christina M. Tressler, of Bellefonte. Lillian is also survived by her five great-grandchildren, Hayden, Emma, and Max Holsinger, of Dover, Del., and Mara and Sebastian Holsinger, of Bellefonte.
A memorial service will be held at Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte on Friday, November 18, 2016. Family and friends can gather at 10:00 a.m. with the memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
