Obituary for Maude Johnson
Maude I. Nicholson Johnson, 82, of Curwensville passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born on May 9, 1941 in Grampian, a daughter of the late Clyde and Larue (Beck) Nicholson.
She married Ross Johnson on July 7, 1980.
Maude loved God and her dog, Molly, that her sister, Mary Jane, got her 15 years ago before she passed. Molly was her whole world. Molly passed away on March 8, 2024.
If you knew Maude, you knew she loved her leopard prints, fringe, crystals, and loved Christian music.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Polly Clapsaddle of Grampian; four nephews, Tom, Mike, Rodney, and Robert Nicholson; three nieces, Lisa Haught, Dreanna Smith, and Belinda Sehlke; and close friends, Betty Pence and Bonnie Spencer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Johnson; a sister, Mary Jane; three brothers, Clyde, Robert, and Clearence; two nieces, Bridget Sparks and Roxann Overman; and a nephew Charles Nicholson.
A memorial service will be held at the Bible Fellowship Church, 6706 Chestnut Grove Highway, Luthersburg, PA 15848 on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 1 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Orphans of the Storm, 412 Hill St., Curwensville, PA 16833.
