Robert J. Ogden Sr.
Once again Lawrence Township was called upon to give up one of its lifelong residents in the passing of Robert J. Ogden Sr. on Wednesday January 23, 2019, at Clearfield.
Born February 6, 1945 in Clearfield, he was the son of the late Albert and Sadie (Pritchard) Ogden.
Mr. Ogden retired as Clearfield Borough Street Commissioner after more than 20 years of service.
He was a member of the John Lewis Shade Post #6 American Legion, Clearfield, for many years, and was a former member of the B.P.O. Elks 540 of Clearfield.
Mr. Ogden served in the US Army Reserves.
On April 2, 1966, he married the former Bonnie Howell, who survives in Clearfield. Also surviving are two sons, Robert Jr. and wife Jill of Woodland, and Michael Sr. and wife Rhonda of Clearfield; four grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and one brother, Albert II and wife Dorothy of Huntingdon.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Shawn; a brother, Jack Pritchard, and a sister, Sarah Jane "Sally" Knepp.
There will be no public visitation or services.
