Obituary for Ronald Beck
Ronald Glenn Beck, 79, of 110 Valley Road, St. Marys, PA. Born at home in Weedville, PA on November 11, 1943. He passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 surrounded by family and loved ones at DuBois Penn Highlands hospital due to a brief illness. He was the son of the late Clifford and Josephine (Hollobaugh) Beck of Weedville, PA.
Ron married Mary Catalone, January 4, 1964 and they had three sons, Ronald G. Beck, Jr. who passed away in infancy, Bob Beck of St.Marys, Rick (Lori) Beck of St. Marys, PA.
Ron worked at Stackpole for over 20 years and with Ron Rishel Sawmill, Keller Oil, Hunt Oil and St. Marys Coal and Gravel. He loved tending to his farm animals, hunting deer, and grand and great grandchildren plus his K-9 companion, Rover.
Ron is survived by siblings Doris Huffman of Butler, PA, Gloria Allen of Mercer, PA, Janet Donaher of Santa Monica CA, two grand children Chelsea Beck, Justin Beck both of Kersey, PA. One great grandchild Gracie Beck. Three step grandchildren- Santanna (Erik) Hockman, Seth Rung, Sierra Kastner, four step great grandchildren- Annora, Barrett, Hazel and Iris.
Ronald was proceeded in death by his child, parents, siblings-Elden Beck, Verna Swisher, Beverly Berlin, Donald Beck and Diane Witz. He was a loving brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all.
There will be no viewing. Service will be held Friday, November 3, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Weedville Wesleyan Church 18945 Bennetts Valley Hwy, Weedville. PA.
