Charles Michael Anders lovingly known as Chuck or Chuckie passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025 at the age of 62 at Penn Highlands Hospital in Dubois, PA. Born on November 1, 1962, in Pittsburgh, PA to Sandra L. & Charles B. Anders, Chuck lived a life defined by creativity, a passion for music, and an extraordinary work ethic.
Chuck was a true craftsman and a jack of all trades. There was nothing he couldn’t build or repair. From constructing houses from the ground up, to mastering electrical, plumbing, mechanical work, masonry, and even upholstery-there was little he couldn’t do with his hands. He was never afraid of hard work and approached every project with skill and pride completing jobs for countless amounts of people in West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
Music was the heartbeat of his life. He spent many years as the drummer in the rock band “Mad Hatter” and countless nights jamming with friends in the legendary Jam Room where the music was loud, the laughter was louder, and the memories ran deep. He loved to celebrate with his friends and always had a joke or wild story to share.
Chuck had a wide circle of friends and was the kind of person who made everyone feel welcome. He was goofy, fun, and had an incredible ability to make people smile. His charm, wit, and lighthearted spirit made him someone you couldn’t forget. Everyone who knew him liked him, plain and simple.
Chuck spent most of his life doing what he loved and living freely. We will always remember him with love and will continue to hold onto the good memories, his laughter, and the unique light he brought into the world.
Chuck is survived by his daughter Nikki, his mother Sandra and stepfather Steve, his stepmother Jackie, his brother Michael, his grandmother Katie, four grandchildren-Kaylee, Ethan, Emryee, and Raelynn. He held a special place in his heart for his wife Lisa of 20 years to whom he was previously married. Two nephews-Bradley and Jeffrey, one niece-Caitlin and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Charles B., his sister Kelly, his brother Jesse, and his niece Joelle.
