George Merele Himes IV

George Merele Himes IV, 41, of Altoona, passed away peacefully July 16, 2025, after a chronic illness. He was born in Altoona, the son of Beverly Noel (McKinney) and George Himes III.
Georgie always had the ability to make anyone smile. He was goofy, he enjoyed being an uncle, and lived life to the fullest throughout his illness.
He is survived by children: Shane, Shaylee, James-Ryan, Seth, Jace and Dimitri; his mother, Beverly D. Noel; stepfather, James (Marie) Noel Jr.; sisters, Amanda and Nicole Himes; brothers: Kyle Himes, James III (Tia), Zachary and Warren Noel; his fiancée, Krystle, and her children: Zach, Nate, Mercedes and Robbie; and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers, George M. Himes Jr., Lew A. McKinney and James R. Noel; his father, George M. Himes III; great grandmother, Freda Estep, grandmothers, Bonnie Himes and Beverly McKinney and uncle, Richard Estep (Barbara Ann).
A Celebration of Georgie’s Life is being planned for a future date.
