Harry Edwin Cochran Sr. was born on May 31, 1940, in Homer City, Pennsylvania, and he departed this world peacefully at home on October 16, 2025. He leaves behind a rich legacy characterized by hard work, kindness, and an unwavering spirit of camaraderie.

A dedicated and industrious individual, Harry was known as a jack of all trades. His talents spanned a wide array of skills, always demonstrated through his commitment to his work and community. Harry's warm-hearted nature set him apart; he had a unique ability to make everyone feel seen and appreciated. Fondly calling everyone “kid,” he possessed a special knack for giving nicknames that reflected his affection and familiarity with those around him.

Harry's life was marked by his service to his country, having served in the Vietnam War in Okinawa. His military service was a source of pride, and he carried the lessons of discipline and teamwork throughout his life.

In addition to his service, Harry had a passion for collecting various items, a hobby that showcased his curious spirit and eye for uniqueness. His home was a testament to his diverse interests, reflecting the many layers of his vibrant personality.

Harry is survived by his beloved family: his daughter, Regina Cochran; sons Gary McNeely, Harry Cochran Jr., Jonny Cochran, Joshua Cochran; daughters Wanda (Cochran) Filipovich, Mary Cochran, and Kelly Cochran; his brother, John Cochran Sr.; along with many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who cherished their time with him.

He is preceded in death by his sisters, Stella (Cochran) Mano, Shirley (Cochran) Miller, and Marie (Cochran) Wagner and a son Eugene Cochran, who will always be remembered in the hearts of those who loved them.

As we reflect on Harry's life, we invite friends and family to join in a Military Honor Service followed by a Celebration of Life Luncheon on November 2 at 12:45 PM at the American Legion Post 493 in Homer City, PA. Here, we will gather to honor the memories he created and the love he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. Harry Edwin Cochran Sr. will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
