John Stanley Halko

John Stanley “Hank” Halko, 61, passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2026, at his home. He was born on January 14, 1965, on the Air Force Base in Tripoli, Libya.

Johnny graduated from Brockway Area High School in 1983 and went on to work at Brockway Mould as a machinist, where he remained until his retirement. He will be remembered as a fun-loving and charismatic man whose presence brought warmth and energy to those around him.

He found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. Johnny enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he especially loved riding his four-wheeler with his dog, Misha. He was also a devoted Steelers fan. Above all, he treasured time spent with family and friends, and took great happiness in attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. His proudest accomplishment was being a father and grandfather, roles he embraced with deep love.

He is survived by his children, Devin Halko (Sarah), Trey Halko (Sonya), and Shaelyn Halko; and by his seven beloved grandchildren, Ty, Eli, Ariel, Ethan, Aero, Irelyn, and Annaliese, who were a special source of pride and joy in his life. He is also survived by his niece, Heather Ross, and his nephews, Greg Weaver and Brandon Girts.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Halko; his mother, Irene Halko; and his sister, Phyllis Cole.

Johnny will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his spirited nature, his devotion to his family, and the many good times he shared with those who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will held in his honor at a later date to be announced.
