Joseph E. Snyder

February 5, 1948 — November 4, 2025

Joseph "Joe" Snyder, 77, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Joe is survived by his devoted wife, Janet and their children: Tracey Snyder, Billy Snyder (Sherry), Joseph Snyder (Amber). He was a proud grandfather to Morgan, Kayla, Kyndell, Nicholas, Lexie, CJ, and Lilly and a cherished great-grandfather to Sage and Luke. He is also survived by his sisters Margaret (Pete) Dryburgh and Barbara Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his father Edward, mother Gladys, brothers Duke and Eddie, and sisters Patsy and Jackie.

Joe proudly served his country as a member of the US Army. A true outdoorsman at heart he was happiest in the mountains hunting, or at Canoe Creek or along the coastal beaches of North Carolina with a fishing pole in hand. He had a deep love for animals and was rarely seen without his faithful puppies, Shane and Willow by his side. His love for nature, his family and the simple joys of life will be remembered by all who knew him.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters,

He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. -Psalm 23
