Justine P. Enderle, 64, passed away on August 31, 2026, at UPMC Altoona. In her final moments, she was listening to “Time for Me to Fly” by REO Speedwagon, her favorite band, while surrounded by friends and family. Born on March 15, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, Justine lived in a way that drew people close and made them feel at home in her presence.
Justine was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, and she carried throughout her life a joyful spirit that showed itself in the things she loved most. She loved lighthouses, the color purple, bunnies, and a deep affection for all animals. She enjoyed float trips and treasured Mother’s Day gatherings, finding happiness in time spent together and in the traditions that brought loved ones close. She also loved taking photographs to document every occasion, preserving laughter, milestones, and everyday moments alike. Her gift for bringing people together could be seen in the themed gatherings she enjoyed hosting for friends and family, where her warmth and creativity made each occasion feel special.More than anything, Justine believed that family was something built not only by birth, but by love. She considered many friends to be family, and that generous way of loving others became one of the defining qualities of her life. She created lasting memories for those around her through celebration, companionship, and the simple but powerful act of making people feel included and cherished.She is survived by Thomas Murrray, her devoted companion in life;  by her brother, Wayne Enderle; sisters, Judy Gutscher and her husband Mike, Gloria “Jeanie” Poole and her husband Mark "Randy", Jane Flanagan and her husband Wayne; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and a very special great-great-niece, Layla Nash, whom she adored and talked to every day. These relationships, along with the many dear friends she embraced as family, formed the circle of love that surrounded her throughout her life.Justine was preceded in death by her father, Silverius M. Enderle; her mother, Dorothy R. Enderle (Alger); and her nephews, Gregory M. Enderle and Brian J. Enderle. Their memories remained part of her life and story, and she now rests reunited with those who went before her.A celebration of Justine’s life will be held in St. Louis, Missouri, on the weekend of June 12-13, 2027.  Location and further details will be announced at a later date, and updates will be shared on Justine’s Facebook page as they become available.Justine will be remembered for her love of gathering people together, for the photographs she took that captured so many treasured moments, and for the affection she gave so freely to family and friends. Her life was marked by warmth, personality, and a wholehearted love for those around her, and her memory will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.
