Lorraine W. Wallace

Lorraine (Myrtle) Wallace formerly of Penfield, PA went to her eternal home December 6, 2024. Lorraine was born July 1, 1935 in Walburn Run, PA to the late William Myrtle and Bethel (Chatfield) Myrtle.

On December 29, 1956, she married John (Jack) Wallace in Tonawanda, NY. Jack preceded her in death May 25, 2021.

Lorraine was active in her church, the community of Penfield, and her large, extended family. She will be remembered for the pies and cakes she made for family and friends. She found great joy in skillfully decorating birthday cakes for her grandchildren-fulfilling whatever elaborate requests they had. Lorraine often stated that her faith in God sustained her through life's hardships.

Lorraine is survived by three children: Patricia Clouser (Tim) of Rockton, PA; Thomas Wallace (Sharon) of DuBois, PA; and Judith Wallace-Wilson (Tim) of Penfield, PA; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren brothers-in-law Robert Pettigrew of Florida and Gerald Wallace of DuBois, sister-in-law Patricia Agosti of Kersey, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. In addition to her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by sisters Phyllis (Jean) Pettigrew and infant sister Shirley May Myrtle.

At Lorraine's request, there will be no public visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
