Melissa A. Murray

Melissa Murray July 16, 1977 – October 6, 2025 Melissa Murray, 48, of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly on October 6, 2025, at Penn Highlands DuBois. 

She was born on July 16, 1977 and was formerly of Brockway, PA. She is survived by her mother, Tami (Shute) Shugars of Brockway, PA, and her father, Dennis Murray Sr. of New York. Melissa is also survived by her son, Joshua (Karen) Smith of Genoa, NY, and her daughter, Ashley Singer of Punxsutawney, PA. Additional survivors include her sister, Jessica (David) McDonald of Pittsburgh, PA; her brother, Justin Shugars of Brockway, PA; her sister, Stephanie Murray of New York; her brother, Dennis Murray Jr. of New York; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandchildren, and extended family members. 

Melissa was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
