Michael James Kerin

 Michael J Kerin, 68, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 26th, 2025. Known also as “Pappy” by loved ones and friends. He was born March 9th, 1957 in Philipsburg Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late James Michael Kerin, Bertha Mae McKissick Kerin and Lloyd Ralph Stonebraker. He was preceded in death by his brothers Tomas Kerin, Gerald Kerin, and William Kerin. He is survived by his sister Linda Stonebraker Kephart; his wife Sharon A. Myers Kerin, his daughter Sonya M. Myers Gummo (spouse Charles E. Gummo), and son Terry L. Kerin, and grandchildren LaDonna M. Gummo and James M. Gummo.

Michael worked multiple jobs, he had his CDL which he used when he worked for Rent America. He also had his own construction business for about 10 years. Later, he worked at Brookline today known as Juniper Village for 21 years. Michael helped and changed many lives throughout his lifetime. He was always inviting anyone he could to his church Centre Pointe Appostolic which he attended for close to 17 years. His hobbies included; watching sports, the Steelers, Penn State football, reading the Bible every night, watching the news, and collecting coins. His life achievements were his work and helping to raise his grandkids. He loved watching them grow up!

A memorial service is being held at Centre Pointe Church 144 Mary Street, Lemont PA 16851 on Thursday, June 5th, 2025 at 7pm.
