Phyllis Ann Cole (Halko), passed away on July 3, 2026, at UPMC Altoona, surrounded by her family and friends, just two days shy of her 70th birthday. Born on July 5, 1956, in Spokane, Washington, Phyllis's life was marked by dedication to her family, commitment to her loved ones, and a strong sense of resilience.

Growing up in Brockport, PA she graduated from Ridgway High School in the class of 1974, she later moved to Duncansville where she has lived since 1992. She enjoyed the beach, shopping, spending time with her family and friends, and lottery scratch off tickets. She also had a strong passion for collecting anything owls.

Phyllis was the cherished daughter of the late Irene and John Halko, whose memory remained present in her heart throughout her life. She is survived by one brother John Halko, her fiancé Robert (Bob) Burkett the love of her life for 33 years and her dog Lucy, daughter, Heather (Clay) Ross, and her two sons, Greg (Brittany) Weaver and Brandon (Elizabeth) Girts. She was also a devoted grandmother to Jared, Mia, Adalyn, Elliot, and Callan, each of whom brought her tremendous joy and pride. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Phyllis is survived by her niece Shaelyn Halko and two nephews Devin and Trey Halko.

The passing of Phyllis signifies the loss of a beloved fiancé, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her enduring strength and compassionate nature will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. While she has joined her parents in rest, her influence and memory remain a source of comfort and encouragement to her family and all whose lives she touched.

At this time, details regarding a celebration of life will be announced at a later time. The family honors and celebrates Phyllis’s rich life and her meaningful contributions to those around her.
