Robert L. Pire, 61, passed away May 21, 2026, at home after battling breast cancer for 3 years. He was born on January 16, 1965, in Bradford Pennsylvania to Leon and Betty Pire. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Richard Pire and Lonnie Pire, his sister Betsy Pire, a nephew Kevin Pire, and his former wife Cheryl Pire. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, he carried the values of service, resilience, and dedication throughout his life, though those who knew him best will remember far more than a uniform.
Robert is survived by his wife Amy, his sons David Thompson and Rob Pire, his daughter Monica Pire (Adam Runiewicz), his grandson Roman Pire, his granddaughters Addysen Quigley, Cecely Quigley, Leia Runiewicz, Lina Pire, Zayli Thompson, Mia Gore, and Emma Leonard, his brothers Kevin (Sharon) Pire and Shawn (Ahn) Pire and many nieces and nephews.
Leaving behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, loyalty, and quiet strength, he was the kind of person who made others feel welcome instantly. He had a way of turning ordinary conversations into memorable moments, often with a sharp sense of humor, a knowing smile, or a story told just a little differently each time. His presence brought comfort, whether through a helping hand, practical advice, or simply sitting beside someone when words were unnecessary. He was an avid fisherman who loved spending time with his brothers and stepsons (Tobie, Tyler and Joe). He loved long rides in the woods with the General.
Family meant everything to Robert. He showed love not through grand speeches, (although he made sure he told his loved ones what they meant to him), but through everyday acts of care - checking in, fixing what was broken, showing up when it mattered, and making sure no one felt alone. Friends knew him as dependable, genuine, and fiercely loyal.
Though Robert experienced many chapters in life, his greatest legacy lives in the people whose lives were made brighter by knowing him. The lessons he leaves behind are simple but lasting: work hard, be humble, laugh often, and take care of the people you love.
Robert will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, strength, humor, and unwavering heart.
