Robert Edward Watson Jr.

Robert Edward Watson Jr, 40, of Osceola Mills, PA, passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2026. His most important role in life was that of a father, and his daughters will miss him greatly.

Robert was born on April 22, 1986 in Hanover, PA. He was an Air Force veteran and served for six years before attending Shippensburg University to earn degrees in accounting and finance. He was employed at Penn State’s Applied Research Lab since 2015. Though he most recently resided in Osceola Mills, he lived in State College for many years. He enjoyed nature, astronomy, geology and building projects around his home.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Evelyn and Claire Watson and their mother Sarah Watson of State College, PA; his partner, Aster Kephart of Philipsburg, PA; sisters Aimee Morea (Mike Markle) of Hanover, PA and Jennifer Watson (Mark Mathias) of Hanover, PA; step-brother Alan Erb (Adrienne) of Elizabethtown, PA; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends who loved him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date not yet determined.
