Sylvia Jean Gatto

Sylvia Jean Gatto (Reed), age 65 of 203 Jefferson Ave.Ridgway passed away at her home on Thursday June 11,2026 following a lengthy illness. 

She was born on September 22 1960 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Ben and Mary Margaret Gatto. 

She is survived by her former husband, Kevin Reed and their two children; BJ Reed (Tara), their children Libby and Piper of Lancaster, PA and Brian (Sarah) and their children, Jeremiah, Samantha and Emily of Ridgway. She also has one surviving brother, Jim Gatto from Pittsburgh.  

She has resided in Ridgway all her life and attended Ridgway Are High School, class of 1978.

 Sylvia was in the high school color guard. She was a huge Steelers fan and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. 

There will be no visitation.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date to be announced.
